Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery is the department where surgical procedures are performed in the operating room environment under local-general anesthesia or sedation with the assistance of clinical and radiographic methods. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is the unit where the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in the teeth and jaw area are performed. Various issues concerning oral and dental health such as tooth extraction, impacted tooth operation, implant, jaw fracture treatment, detection and treatment of jaw tumors, abscesses and cysts, arrangement of tissues before prosthesis and orthodontic treatment are within the scope of maxillofacial surgery. It covers the diagnosis and surgical treatment of all kinds of diseases related to soft tissues such as cheek, palate, tongue, lips and hard tissues that we can list as teeth, bones, joints.Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery
